Attention United Healthcare-insured radiology patients

Hospital news | Wednesday, March 31, 2021

We have learned that Radia, our contracted radiology-physicians group which reads our radiology images, is in a contract dispute with United Healthcare. Because of this, patients with United Healthcare could receive an out-of-network charge for Radia’s services beginning on April 1, 2021, which are significantly higher than in-network charges.

Arbor Health patients are not alone in this situation. Because Radia is such a highly-esteemed radiologist group, they provide service not only to our patients but also to all of our counterparts in this region. Please know that we are attentively watching and assessing this situation. However, we also want you to know that changing radiology groups is not a quick process.

Our mission at Arbor Health is “to foster trust and nurture a health community" so you can be confident that we are doing everything we can to look out for you in this situation. In the meantime, for more information about Radia and United Healthcare, call 866-948-5717.

With the warmest of regards,

Leianne Everett
Chief Executive Officer
