Wound & Ostomy Care

Care for Your Non-Healing Wounds

At the Arbor Health Wound Care Clinic, your quality of life is our priority. If you’re struggling with a chronic or non-healing wound, our dedicated team is here to provide the specialized treatment you need to promote healing and improve your well-being. With board certification in wound and ostomy care, our skilled professionals deliver compassionate, focused attention tailored just for you.

If you have a wound that hasn’t improved or healed properly within four to six weeks, it’s time to connect with your primary healthcare provider. They can guide you on scheduling an appointment or obtaining a referral to our Wound Care Clinic, conveniently located at Morton Hospital. Many healthcare plans offer coverage for treatments at our clinic, so it’s worth checking your specific plan for details.

Our clinic is designed to address a range of wound-related challenges, including:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers.
  • Venous stasis ulcers.
  • Pressure ulcers.
  • Arterial ulcers.
  • Infected wounds.
  • Surgical wounds that just won't heal.
  • Injuries such as burns, bites, lacerations or contusions.
  • Wound-susceptible diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis or gout.
  • Patients on medications that may impact healing such as steroids or oncology drugs.

Our wound and ostomy team can treat many of these wounds, including some that have resisted healing for months and even years of traditional treatment.

Your Healing Journey

Our goal is simple: to provide the specialized care you need to heal and enjoy a better quality of life. Your healing is our focus, and our board-certified nurse, along with the entire wound care team, will collaborate closely with your personal physician. We’ll discuss your treatment plan and keep your healthcare provider informed about your progress, ensuring you receive comprehensive care every step of the way.
